Description
Flaky puff pastry filled with smoky ham and creamy Gouda, topped with a tangy Dijon glaze perfect for breakfast, brunch, or snacks.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 cup diced ham
1 cup shredded Gouda cheese
2 eggs, beaten (1 for filling, 1 for egg wash)
1/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
1 tbsp Dijon mustard (for glaze)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Roll out puff pastry and cut into 12 squares.
3. Mix ham, Gouda, 1 egg, milk, pepper, and garlic powder.
4. Spoon filling into the center of each square.
5. Fold corners over filling and pinch to seal.
6. Brush tops with remaining beaten egg.
7. Bake 18–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
8. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
9. Optional: Brush with Dijon glaze while warm.
Notes
For vegetarian muffins, swap ham for sautéed mushrooms or spinach.
To store, keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 5–10 minutes.
