Ingredients
4 medium potatoes, peeled and grated
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup diced bell pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
Fresh herbs, for garnish
Instructions
1. Grate the potatoes and squeeze out moisture using a clean towel.
2. In a bowl, mix potatoes, onion, egg, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Heat oil in a skillet, form the mixture into patties, and fry until golden on both sides.
4. In another skillet, cook the beef until browned, then add bell pepper and garlic.
5. Season beef with paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook 1–2 more minutes.
6. Top each pancake with the beef mixture and sprinkle with cheese.
7. Heat until cheese melts, garnish with herbs, and serve warm.
